Infra Red Radiation Probes

This is a new generation of temperature probes, using, as sensors, a thermopile. It is sensitive to the infra red radiations of all objects to which it is turned. It's why it isn't necessary to establish a physical contact between the object to measure and sensor. The thermosensor is included in a TO 18 case, which is assembled either at the end of a tube or in any kind of housing. The sensor can also include a RTD's Ni 1000 for a temperature reference. Connections are made with 2 or 3 conductors shielded cable. A thermopile gives an output voltage which is proportional to the temperature. This kind of sensor is really new and will certainly know a quick evolution in the next months.
